Beautifying the Library
If you've been in the library recently you've noticed that we are getting our inside walls and ceilings repaired and repainted. We have also shored up our roofs and exterior masonry. We are doing what we can to the library facility with what we have.
Next up for our library is new carpeting and flooring. Rush County Flooring will be removing the nearly 30-year-old carpeting and replacing it with awesome new carpeting and flooring in almost every area of the library. Therefore, the library will be CLOSED Monday & Tuesday, October 24-25, so the carpeting/flooring can be laid in the main areas. The library will be OPEN to the public on Wednesday & Thursday, October 26-27, with shortened hours 9 AM to 5 PM so that staff can put items back and get them in order after the carpeting/flooring is laid. Regular library hours will resume on Friday, October 28.
Thank you for understanding our MESS during this beautifying of the library. Everyone knows you have to make a mess to improve.
In addition, October 24-29 will be a FREE FINE WEEK. Don't worry about items being overdue or owing fines. We will excuse them that week.
The work on the Library is possible due to individual donations and a bequest from the Lucile Adams estate. There is much work to be done and we will happily accept any donation (small or large) to help make our Library facility the most awesome place Rush Countians can visit!
