Services
"To read a book for the first time is to make an acquaintance with a new friend; to read it for a second time is to meet an old one." — Anonymous, Chinese saying
The Rushville Public Library provides numerous services to Rush County residents. Services such as color copying, faxing, laminating, use of the meeting room, scanning, and computer use are provided to the public at various costs. Patrons with library cards may check out various pieces of equipment such as slide projectors and film projectors.
To help patrons as much as possible, the Library also provides three special services: interlibrary loans, memorials and homebound.
- For the fee of shipping books, patrons may request materials which the Library does not have through interlibrary loan.
- The Rushville Public Library happily accepts monetary gifts for memorials. Memorials may be given to the Library to honor a friend or relative who has passed away, or may be given in appreciation of a birth, birthday, anniversary, or any special occasion.
- For patrons who are shut-ins, the Library provides a homebound delivery service. Staff members will deliver and pick up library materials for patrons who cannot come to the Library due to health or weather.
